Seasonal Farm Produce

Farm Produce from Wisconsin

Our seasonal produce from Wisconsin comes from small family farms in rural southwestern Wisconsin, the same area where our grass-fed beef, grass-fed lamb, and pastured poultry originates from.

This is known as the "driftless" area of Wisconsin, because glaciers drifted around this area during the glacial period.

This resulted in a unique geographical area of rolling hills and valleys that the early settlers of Wisconsin recognized as having rich soil for grass and crops.

The four seasons and harsh winters allow for the natural death of organic plant life that returns nutrient rich organic matter to the soil each year.

We test samples from each harvest to check for the presence of glyphosate, and in the case of corn, we also test for the presence of GMOs.

For the conscious farmer today practicing traditional agricultural principles, this unique terrain allows them to shield their fields from conventional farms, offering a "buffer zone" that far exceeds organic standards.

This is especially important when growing heirloom corn. Our farmers tell us stories of how deer will bypass conventional GMO corn fields in the area to get to their organic open pollinated corn fields.

Note: Produce items are shipped directly from the farm on Monday through Wednesday each week. Combine with other Wisconsin farm products into one shipment! These products cannot be shipped to APO, FPO, or DPO military addresses.

All of the produce comes from organic farms in Wisconsin. Limited supplies - first come first serve!
