How Tropical Traditions Moisturizing Creams are Different

We believe, and many customers have also told us, that these are some of the finest moisturizing creams on the market. And yet they are priced well below designer brands, most of which are made with lesser ingredients, and contain preservatives and other toxins.

It all starts with the oils that are used as the base.

All of the Moisturizing Creams that Tropical Traditions offers are made with our Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil and Virgin Palm Oil, providing these moisturizing creams with some of the highest levels of antioxidants of any other moisturizing creams  currently available.

It is highly unlikely that any other products on the market are made with finer oils as their base.Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is traditionally made from fresh coconuts using the wet-milling process, and independent laboratory tests show that it has a higher level of antioxidants than other coconut oils.

Virgin Palm Oil contains high concentrations of a powerful form of Vitamin E called “tocotrienols” which published research has shown is 40–60 times more potent than alpha-tocopherol, the most common form of Vitamin E found as an additive in most skin care products, and usually derived from soybean oil.

In addition to these powerful Vitamin E tocotrienols, Virgin Palm Oil is also rich in natural carotenes. It is one of the richest natural plant sources of carotenes with concentrations of 500–700 ppm. It is 15 times more retinol-equivalent than carrots and 300 times more than tomatoes, for example.

These fine moisturizing creams are made by hand in small batches, and are not mass-produced.

Other Ingredients

In addition to using only the best oils available for the skin, all other ingredients used in Tropical Traditions Moisturizing Creams are 100% natural.

Our hand-made creams contain no alcohols, no artificial fragrances, and no petroleum products.

Because we recognize that many have sensitivities to fragrances, we also have an unscented version.

For those varieties that are scented, we only use high quality organic essential oils imported from France which are distilled with low temperature and low pressure over an extended period of time. Low temperature and lower pressure have proven to be the most effective method of obtaining all of the essential constituents from the plant, and provide our products with the very best quality fragrances available.

Available Varieties

Arnica

A blend of essential oils to massage muscles. Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, organic macerated arnica oil, and organic essential oils of wintergreen, peppermint, clove, helichrysum, and spruce.

Baby Silk

Contains a blend of essential oils that promotes the appearance of new skin. Beneficial overnight cream. Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oils of lavender, ylang ylang, geranium, roman chamomile, and rose.

Citrus

Provides fresh, clean, uplifting and revitalizing effect to the skin. Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oils of orange, mandarin, spearmint, lemon, grapefruit, lemongrass, and tangerine.

Coconut

Tropical coconut bliss. Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and and organic coconut oil flavor.

Lavender

Soothes the skin. Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oil of lavender.

Peppermint

Invigorating and stimulating. Superb for a foot massage. Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oil of peppermint.

Unscented

Contains no essential oils for people with allergies or sensitivities to scents. Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, and organic virgin palm oil.

Vanilla

Subtle vanilla scent. Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic organic vanilla extract in coconut oil.

 Bergamot and Orange

Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oils of orange, coriander, bergamot, and cypress.

Patchouli

Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oils of sandalwood, patchouli, and ylang ylang.

Rose

Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oils of rose and ylang ylang.

Sandalwood

Ingredients: purified water, organic virgin coconut oil, emulsifying wax (plant based, no soy), palm stearic, grapefruit seed extract, organic beeswax, organic virgin palm oil, and organic essential oils of sandalwood and ylang ylang.
