Tropical Traditions Pure Coconut Oil
The modern way of processing coconut oil is by chemical extraction, using solvent extracts, which produces higher yields and is quicker and less expensive.
Tropical Traditions Pure Coconut Oil DOES NOT use solvent extracts. It is made the "old" way by expeller-pressed mechanical extraction. This coconut oil is also NOT hydrogenated, and contains NO trans fatty acids.
Tropical Traditions Pure Coconut Oil is less expensive than Virgin Coconut Oil, and because it goes through a steam deodorizing process the taste is very bland, unlike Virgin Coconut Oil which retains the odor and taste of fresh coconuts.
Some people prefer a bland, tasteless oil. This coconut oil is solid below 76 degrees F. and liquid above that.

Based on the last time I ordered it from Healthy Traditions it's great - good for you - lasts a long time in cool dark storage - so much better than any other oil except certain olive oils when you want some distinctive type due to flavoring for cooking. Coconut oil is an all around go-to for everyday cooking, toast, yada yada yada.

Been buying this coconut oil since 2017 every single year... a 5-gallon bucket. It does not have any coconut flavor which is perfect, because my family hates the coconut flavor. This is by far the BEST quality coconut oil I have every found! It is always in my kitchen. I cook with coconut oil, beef tallow, or avocado oil ONLY. Tropical Traditions is amazing!!
