Fond O’ Foods sources pure Alpine milk from like-minded small family farms. These particular farms, located in the Allgäu region of Germany, have for many generations fed their cows grass and grass hay. This provides excellent quality and flavor to Fond O’ Foods butter. Now from these family farms and the Fond O’ Foods family this handcrafted tradition is presented to you and your family.

The CLA Advantage
Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) is a naturally occurring free fatty acid found mainly in meat and dairy products in small amounts. CLA was discovered by accident in 1978 by Michael W. Pariza at the University of Wisconsin while looking for mutagen formations in meat during cooking. The most abundant source of natural CLA is the meat and dairy products of grass-fed animals. Research conducted since 1999 shows that grazing animals have from 3–5 times more CLA than animals fattened on grain in a feedlot. Simply switching from grain-fed to grass-fed products can greatly increase your intake of CLA. (Dhiman, T. R., G. R. Anand, et al. (1999). “Conjugated linoleic acid content of milk from cows fed different diets.” J Dairy Sci 82(10): 2146–56.)

Good butter made from the milk of cows grazing on grass is hard to find these days. We offer here some of the best butter found anywhere in the world: all from the milk of grass-fed cows. Good butter from grass-fed cows is very distinct in its rich yellow color, due to high amounts of beta carotene.

Shipping Notice: The butter is frozen at our facility and then shipped in multiples of 16 to you. This helps to make sure there is enough cold mass in the insulated box to keep it cold until it arrives. It is also shipped with dry ice in the insulated box. Once delivered, it can be either frozen or refrigerated until needed.

Butter LUV!

This is my second purchase of this butter. Obviously, I like it a LOT! It tastes “clean,” and buttery, of course. And, when I need butter again, as long as it’s available, I’ll buy it again. Thank you, Healthy Traditions, for offering it.

Best butter

This is the best butter ever and grass fed all year round (winter months fed with hay-no grains)

Doesn’t Get Much “Butter” Than This

Glad I tried the butter. It is really good. I decided to do the FedEx 2 day shipping (at the lesser cost and It came frozen). It is non-salted, which is nice, so it can be used in baking. It tastes somewhat like Kerrygold butter, but better!

Very professional

I got some great butter that survived 4 days in a very well insulated and cooled box. Good job!
